Public Talk and Conversation with Peter Young

Education usually refers to learning about a certain subject or discipline. But does it lead to true knowledge? Or is it merely a particular belief system of how we currently understand the subject?

There is another kind of knowledge: not knowledge about, but rather knowledge from. In other words, knowledge that we obtain free from whatever it is we are contemplating, free from any pre-existing assumption and prejudice we may have. This is when the greatest enquiry comes into play, which is to look at oneself. That is to abandon all views and beliefs about what kind of a person or thing we might be, and to allow ourselves to inform us. We lay ourselves open to being informed from our deeper self, beyond our idea of what's going on.

This requires stilling of the normal, everyday thought process that goes on, and entering into a quite space of enquiry and deep listening. And if we can find our way into that, we can ask any questions we want and answers will come.

These talk and conversation are an open invitation for all to step into this process. It is a radical approach to being human, which will lay a strong foundation to conscious living and to realizing our true potentials as human beings. You are welcome to join us.
